A warm welcome to Term 1 from the MLC School P&F Committee

It’s hard to believe we are in March already!

We hit the ground running this year, with many events and activities happening and being planned. Commencement Day in January was a wonderful occasion as always, with the fizz of excitement and expectation that newness brings.

The P&F had a strong presence, with year group ambassadors attending to greet new parents and the Second Hand Uniform Shop open for business.

The Parent Welcome event in February was very well attended and again representatives from the P&F were there, answering questions, providing insights and of course having fun. The evening was most enjoyable, with good food, plenty to drink and great music!

We had our first General Business meeting of the year in early March. It was lovely to see parents attend and give suggestions and feedback that all help to improve our School. A couple of the items discussed were the options for the P&F’s gift to the School, which last year was the lighting for the Bird Bath Quad and a contribution towards the fun new playground in the Junior School and speakers and presenters for this year’s Parent Forums. We hope to have more information on these at the next meeting and encourage you to come along.

As always, the year group ambassadors have been busy organising coffee mornings, dinners and other gatherings, to build a sense of belonging and grow community spirit. The Junior School is always a hive of activity with many amazing things on offer, from the Cardboard Challenge to Mothers Day stalls and much more. 

The P&F at MLC School is an active and welcoming group and I would be delighted to see more parents be involved.
