Round Square Show-and-Tell: ‘How My School Cares for the Planet’
Recently, the Environment Captains met for a Round Square Show-and-Tell around ‘How My School Cares for the Planet,’ meeting with schools from India, UAE, and around New South Wales. During this meeting, we shared the ways that our school is environmentally friendly. We also gained some new ideas for the ways that our school can care for our planet, such as native animal shelters and beehives with native bees.
We are also excited to share a new program, called Waste-Free Wednesday, where every Wednesday, we bring food with no wrapping to reduce our waste. Starting next week, every fortnight, there will be a challenge to make our school more environmentally friendly. At the end of this term, there will be a Kahoot! about the environmentally friendly features of our school.
