Make sure:
- Hair is tidy and pulled back neatly in a ponytail or similar
- No long nails
- No make up
- No jewellery
- Only MLC School PE Uniform or MLC School sport specific uniform to be worn. No house shirts.
- If it is cool, only MLC School tracksuit or MLC School hoodie can be worn (no other branded apparel).
Commitment to Training and Games
When you register a student for a sport, training commitments are compulsory and will involve up to two sessions per week.
Training days are generally in the mornings from 6.45am–8am.
Occasionally, training may occur in the afternoon. This is usually dependent on coach availability.
MLC School has a NO TRAIN, DON’T EXPECT TO PLAY policy. This means if a student misses training for any reason, they should not expect to get game time during the next scheduled match. The amount of game time given to students after a missed training will be at the coach’s discretion.
Non- Attendance
Continued failure to attend training or competitions without a timely written explanation is unacceptable and may jeopardise the player’s continued involvement in sport.
To be eligible for a pocket, (either the blue one for sustained commitment) or a premiership pocket should the team win the competition, students may only miss one training and one game throughout the season/term. For sports that run over two terms, such as netball, students may miss two trainings and two games.
If Frensham is in your fixtures, the attendance at the Frensham fixture is compulsory to be awarded a pocket.
Training absences can be made up by attendance at an alternate session throughout the week. Students should contact the sports department if they wish to attend a make-up session so this can be recorded on the roll.
