Aquatic Centre Renovations

The Aquatic Centre will be renovating our existing changerooms and bathrooms. We are hoping this will make significant improvement to our facilities by upgrading the existing toilets, showers and changing space in both the male, female and family/disabled bathrooms to provide a better experience for all.

During the renovation process, the changeroom and surrounding area will be closed and inaccessible for all. The pool deck will still be accessible by the main stairwell, however the space behind will be out of action for the entirety of the project. In the interim, we will provide temporary bathroom facilities on the outside deck at the squad end of the pool. Please note that these facilities will only include portable toilets with no changing areas. The pool deck showers will remain in operation for rinse off only, however these will be the only option available at this time. Please note: all safety measures have been put into place and risk assessments conducted to ensure your safety will always be assured.

For students who are participating in sport training, the following arrangements have been made.

For water polo, diving, cocurricular swimming, rowing, touch football, badminton and tennis, students can get changed in the demountable (FD3) next to the Aquatic Centre. The demountables have been fitted with curtains and privacy screens.

Volleyball, and basketball students can use the bathrooms in the corridor leading to the Britannia St Car Park. The area will be supervised by staff members.

Junior School basketballers will continue to be walked to Junior School to change.

We understand that the temporary lack of changerooms and restrooms may cause inconvenience, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding during this period. The renovations are set to begin on Monday 4 November 2024, and are expected to be completed by Friday 24 January 24 2025 (subject to change).
