Work Experience at the Academy of Interactive Entertainment (AIE)

During October, I was fortunate enough to participate in work experience at the Academy of Interactive Entertainment (AIE).

During the week I used professional software to create 3D animations and a platformer game. Though the course was initially challenging, I quickly had fun learning how to use the programs. Using Maya I made an animation of Kirby, and using Unreal I developed a platformer game (like Minecraft). Whilst the course was exciting, I’d especially recommend it to people who have experience with using technology (such as Adobe), as learning how to navigate the software can be tricky at times.

Overall, it was an incredible experience that became especially rewarding as I saw my creations come to life in front of my eyes. It’s certainly made me consider a career in animation!
