Year 8

Year 8

This term in Luminary time, the focus of our sessions is the school value of Growth. The sessions the students will engage in are centred around building their skills in collaboration, problem-solving and working together. This week, the students have been trying to solve escape room style puzzles to crack a code and solve a mystery!

It was also fantastic to see Year 8 Cadets kick off with gusto a fortnight ago, and I’m looking forward to hearing about their second session. There are a lot of lessons in discipline, structure and resilience in Cadets, which also fall nicely in with this term’s pastoral focus.

General reminders for Year 8 are to ensure all parts of their uniform are packed in their sports bag before early morning sports sessions, so that students are appropriately attired in their correct uniform throughout the day. With the students moving swiftly towards Year 9, we need to continue to encourage them to take greater responsibility for their organisation.

Have a great weekend, and as always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
