Australian Maths Competition (AMC)

There are now only two weeks until the Australian Maths Competition (AMC), held between Wednesday 2 August and Friday 4 August 2023. The AMC is run by the Australian Mathematics Trust and is the country’s largest and most well-known school competition. The 75-minute online competition is open to students from Year 7 to Year 12 and is designed to challenge and extend students’ problem-solving skills. 

Parents and carers who would like to register their daughter for the AMC are invited to complete this online form before Monday 24 July. The $8 fee will then be added to your account. Students can prepare for the competition by completing the practice questions available online here.

2023 ICAS Mathematics Assessment

Registrations for the 2023 ICAS Mathematics Assessment are also now open. This online international competition will be held between Monday 28 August and Friday 1 September 2023 and is open to students in Year 7 to Year 10. The competition assesses students’ higher order thinking and problem-solving skills. Those who would like to participate are invited to complete this online form before Monday 24 July 2023. The fee of $19.25 will then be added to your account. Practice tests are available here.
