Netball Expression of Interest

Netball is offered to interested students from Year 2 to Year 12. MLC School competes in the Eastwood Ryde Netball Association Competition. This competition will be held from Saturday 29 April to Saturday 9 September 2023. Training occurs before school from 7am–8am.

Games are played at:

  • Brush Farm, Eastwood for 7-10 years
  • Meadowbank Park for 11-18 years

Please read the following information carefully as it will form the basis for your involvement in Netball at MLC School in 2023.

Grading for netball teams will be held on Saturday 28 January 2023. Please put this date in your diary as it is the only opportunity to grade.

Please note that teams are selected on skill and not for transport or social reasons.

 

Grading Schedule

Grading will be in age groups based on the age your daughter turns in 2023 (age at 31 December 2023).

Date: Saturday 28 January 2023
Venue: MLC School Sports Field
Times:

  • 10 years and 11 years – 8.30am–10am
  • 12 years and 13 years – 10am–12noon
  • 14 years and 15 years – 1pm– 2.30pm
  • 16 years and older – 2pm–3.30pm
  • Year 2 and Year 3 students – No trial necessary

In 2023, netball registrations will open on Wednesday 1 February 2023. From this date, it is imperative that you register and pay within the registration period to ensure your daughter is eligible to play in Round 1. Registrations CLOSE on Friday 17 February 2023. You will be sent registration information and a link after grading day.

Important Information

  • We will not accept registrations for MLC School Netball Club if you also intend to play for another club in another association. This is because it is likely that the games will clash making it difficult to honour your commitment to both MLC School Netball Club and your other club.
  • It is not possible to play for MLC School Netball Club and another club within ERNA.

 

Active Kids Voucher

In 2023, parents will be able to claim up to $100 per school child, per calendar year, as a voucher to reduce the cost of sport registration or membership fees for after-school, weekend and structured fitness or physical activity. This rebate only applies to organised club sports and not school organised sports such as IGSA and IPSHA. As the MLC School Netball Club plays in the Eastwood-Ryde Association, players are eligible for the rebate.
