Continued Success for 2023 Cohort
We were delighted to hear the news of Old Girl Despina Stamoulos Year 12 2023. Despina has been recognised for her achievements in the study of Modern Greek Beginners which she studied through the NSW School of Languages. Despina was placed 9th in the state and this was was recognised at the Dionysios Solomos Awards, which are organised annually by the Greek Orthodox Community of NSW. Proud parents and teachers packed into MacLaurin Hall at the University of Sydney, to celebrate students who excelled in their study of Modern and Classical Greek in the HSC. The awards celebrated the importance of foreign languages and how this helps in maintaining a strong connection to familial heritage and culture through the learning of their mother tongue.
We are always thrilled to hear of the achievements of the girls being recognised in the broader community and are very proud of Despina’s accomplishments.
