{"id":4277,"date":"2024-09-23T04:00:06","date_gmt":"2024-09-23T04:00:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/mlc-futuris\/?post_type=article&#038;p=4277"},"modified":"2024-09-23T04:00:06","modified_gmt":"2024-09-23T04:00:06","slug":"year-6-excitement-day-2","status":"publish","type":"article","link":"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/mlc-futuris\/article\/year-6-excitement-day-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Year 6 Excitement Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In preparation for Year 7, our annual Excitement Day provided a fantastic opportunity for our Year 6 students to experience life in the Senior School and get to know some of our Executive Team and key learning areas.<\/p>\n<p>The students had an absolute blast with a variety of engaging activities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A thrilling Science lesson with Principal <strong>Lisa Moloney,<\/strong> featuring flying marshmallows!<\/li>\n<li>An energetic PDHPE session in the sunshine with Deputy Principal <strong>Melissa Boyd<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on baking in the commercial kitchens with Head of Learning and Teaching <strong>Linda Emms<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>An exploration of HSIE subjects with Head of Senior School <strong>Joanna Graffen<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Year 6 students showed great enthusiasm and curiosity throughout the day.
