The Year 5 Collaborative Learning Project (CLP) for term 3 was \u2018Earth is part of an interconnected system that affects our daily lives.\u2019<\/p>\n

The students joined a live presentation by Katherine Bennell-Pegg, the first Australian to be trained as an astronaut. She was very inspirational especially because she was a young successful woman.<\/p>\n

From the learning in this term\u2019s novels and the Year 5 Collaborative Learning Project, the students have discovered that learning about Physics, Astrophysics and Astronomy is within their reach, and they too could be an astronaut. (Instead of being like the girls in the novel \u2018I Love you Michael Collins\u2019 where the girls wanted to marry an astronaut.)<\/i><\/p>\n
