On Saturday 18 February, we had our first ever Hit the Ground Running Day<\/i>\u00a0for Year 3 and Year 4 students playing a band instrument. The girls had a fabulous day of intensive music making and it was a fantastic opportunity to get a head start on their instrument (and enjoy a sausage sizzle)! The girls also had a lot of fun teaching their parents and carers how to play their instruments, who we think have a much better understanding of how hard our girls work now!<\/p>\n

The fabulous trio responsible for this event were\u00a0Richard Coward<\/strong>, Head of Bands,\u00a0Elizabeth Gilberthorpe<\/strong>, Assistant Director of Music, and\u00a0Sophie Grattan-Smith<\/strong>, Junior School Music Coordinator, with the help from some of our Music tutors.<\/p>\n
