National Science Week 2023 in the Junior School STEM Lab

The MLC Junior School STEM Lab celebrated National Science Week 2023 and its theme, ‘Innovation: Powering Future Industries’ by inviting students to make a beaded binary bracelet in the lunch break. 

Students coded the initial letter of their first name into binary (the system of 0s and 1s that comprise the basis of computer language) and used that code to make a two-colour bracelet. 

Year 1 to Year 4 had their own lunch break to make their bracelet while Year 5 showed their leadership skills by teaming up with their Kindergarten buddies to make theirs together.
