Interhouse Public Speaking Competition 2020
MLC School continues to find creative and novel ways to do things. This year, the Interhouse Public Speaking Competition has embraced a new format. The prepared speeches for Round 1 were pre-recorded and submitted online. A panel of adjudicators, including student representatives, watched the speeches, scoring them and giving feedback.
The Impromptu Speaking Round 2 was very exciting. It was held in the Senior School playgrounds. The participants found it confronting, as they had a large audience to entertain and a stage with a microphone to present from. However there was an exciting vibe emanating from the audience. More people were able to take part and House spirit abounded.
Every competitor was impressive but only three from each division could progress to the final round which will be in early August.
