7-a-side Football<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

It was the decider for our Senior 7-a-side football team this week against Holy Cross Ryde. If you remember in previous editions of the sports report Eastwood had been beaten in Round 1 (0-1) and then returned victorious in Round 2 (3-0). Deciders are always interesting games and no team could find the back of the net in regulation or extra time so the games went to penalties. Goal Keeper Isaac Samaha<\/strong> crucially saved the 2nd penalty and Eastwood would remain just in front for the remainder of the shootout closing out the decider with a 3-2 victory on penalties. Congratulations to our Senior team who are now Sydney Champions.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately due to the weather Meadowbank Oval was closed this week – so all Rugby 7\u2019s games have been postponed.<\/p>\n
