Dear Parents\/Carers of Year 10 Students<\/p>\n
Year 11 2027 Subject Preferences and Mentor Meetings<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n As part of our preparation for students’ transition into Stage 6, each Year 10 student will participate in a Subject Selection Mentor Meeting to discuss their preliminary subject preferences\u00a0 for Year 11. These individual meetings provide an opportunity for students to reflect on their academic goals, review subject prerequisites and receive tailored guidance regarding their proposed pattern of study.<\/p>\n The meetings will take place during the school day, with the majority scheduled for Tuesday 23 June and Wednesday 24 June.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n Students will be allocated a specific meeting time and mentor <\/strong>and are responsible for attending their scheduled meeting. Meeting times and mentor allocations will be published via a Compass Newsfeed prior to the commencement of the meetings.<\/p>\n Following the meeting, families will receive an email summary outlining the discussion, including the student’s proposed subject preferences and any recommendations or considerations arising from the meeting. We encourage you to discuss this summary with your son as considerations for his final subject selection occur.<\/p>\n Please note that the Edval online subject selection portal will open on Thursday 23 July 2026<\/strong>.
