While we understand that school mornings can be hectic and a quick drop-off seems harmless, these regulations exist for a critical reason: the safety of our Marist College Eastwood boys and the younger students from St Kevin’s.

Why This Matters:

Visibility Blind spots: Parking or pausing in “No Stopping” zones blocks the line of sight for other motorists, making it incredibly difficult to see students attempting to cross the road.

Bus Disruptions: Blocking Bus Zones forces school buses to double-park or stop in the middle of traffic to let students off. This creates immediate congestion and a safety hazard for boys stepping out into the street.

Financial Penalties: Local council traffic rangers and police regularly patrol school zones. Violating these signposted areas carries fines and, in many cases, demerit points.

We kindly ask all parents to adhere to the following guidelines:

Adhere to all street signage: Please only pull over where it is legally permitted and safe to do so.

Park and Walk: If you need to assist your son or speak with him before he enters the gates, please park legally in the surrounding streets and walk to the campus.

Our priority will always be the safety and well-being of our school community. By adhering to the traffic rules, we can ensure that all students arrive at school safely and without incident.

Thank you for your cooperation, understanding, and commitment to keeping our boys and other members of our community safe.

You won’t use everything you learn… but you will use how your brain learns

We work hard with our boys to learn the skills of persistence, focus, problem-solving and staying with something despite it being difficult. Please encourage your sons to recognise that there is no growth in the comfort zone, and there is no comfort in the growth zone. The more they learn and understand how the world works now, the more freedom they will have later. Knowledge and understanding helps them create and take advantage of opportunities and makes them stronger in the long run.

Respice Finem

Mr David Sullivan
Principal

["post-5856","article","type-article","status-publish","hentry
["GET
