St Michael\u2019s Church Meadowbank will host a series of Sacred Music Workshops<\/strong> at 10:00 am (in the church) on Saturdays 15, 22 and 30 November<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n These sessions are open to ALL<\/strong> who are interested in experiencing the joy of singing traditional church music in a choir setting or learning more about the rich heritage of Catholic sacred music<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n No registration required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n A new\u00a0Children\u2019s Choir<\/strong>\u00a0is forming to sing at the\u00a0Family Mass on the first Saturday evening of each month<\/strong>. Open to all students in\u00a0Years 5\u201310<\/strong>, the choir welcomes children of every skill level \u2013 no prior experience is necessary.\u00a0All who wish to join are invited to attend the Sacred Music Workshops (see above).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n All are warmly invited to take part in the\u00a0Sacred Music Workshops<\/strong>\u00a0as we encourage our young parishioners to discover and share the timeless beauty of the Church\u2019s musical tradition.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\nSt Michael\u2019s Children\u2019s Choir<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
The choir will begin with\u00a0traditional hymns and simple chant<\/strong>, with the goal of developing towards more advanced sacred music such as\u00a0motets and polyphony<\/strong>. This is a wonderful opportunity for young people to grow in their love of music, develop their vocal skills, and participate more deeply in the beauty of the liturgy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
