I hope you and your families had a chance to rest, recharge, and enjoy some quality time together. As we begin this final term of the year, let us embrace the opportunities ahead with energy and optimism. Term 4 promises to be a time of rich learning, meaningful reflection, and new challenges &#8211; let us approach it with purpose and a shared commitment to finishing the year with strength and spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>TERM 4 EVENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This term we pray for Year 12 as they begin their HSC exams. Thank you to all the families who volunteered to pray for our Year 12 students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please place the following dates into your calendars:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Saturday 18 October &#8211; Granny Smith Festival<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tuesday 28 October- Student Leadership Liturgy and Year 11 Academic Awards Assembly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wednesday 29 October- Parent Community Group meeting 7.00pm in the Learning Centre.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Friday 31 October- World Teacher\u2019s Day<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wednesday 5 November &#8211; Dr Justin Coulson- The Screensmart Series Webinar 7.00pm. Details to follow.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monday&nbsp;24 November &#8211; P&amp;F Volunteer Thank you Dinner<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wednesday 25 November &#8211; Newman Symposium and Creative &amp; Performing Arts Night. 4.30pm-7.30pm. Program to follow.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>November &#8211; Wellbeing Month- a separate letter will be sent to the community to outline various events.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thursday 11 December- Advent mass at 9.40am. All parents are welcome.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Friday 12 December &#8211; End of Year Awards Assembly Years 7-10. Last day of classes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tuesday 16 December &#8211; Optional zoom (am) and face-to-face (pm) parent\/student\/teacher meetings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thursday 18 December &#8211; HSC results released. Year 12 2025 Morning Tea begins at 9.30am.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Friday 19 December- School closes.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>More information will follow closer to these events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>STAFF COMMUNICATION CHANNELS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Should you have any questions regarding your son\u2019s learning, your first port of call should be his Class teacher. If you have concerns about your son\u2019s wellbeing please contact his Homeroom teacher or his Leader of Wellbeing.\u00a0 Staff contact details can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1bhYiPkMncm9NYRXBjsOr8RiM0sb2mK2w\/view?usp=drive_link\">here<\/a>.\u00a0 A reminder that Sydney Catholic Schools Parent Charter provides guidelines for communicating with staff. The charter can be accessed <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1FNajrUzo5cf0yEkWCe0i7pNgZ0IUzVx0\/view?usp=sharing\">here<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ENROLMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) have moved to an online enrolments process which can be accessed via their website or through the MCE website. We are at capacity for Year 7 2026 and Year 7 2027 and are now only accepting applications for our waitlist for all year groups.&nbsp; We are currently accepting 2028 applicants. If you know of anyone wanting to apply for MCE for 2028 please encourage them to do so as soon as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>LEARNING CENTRE (LIBRARY)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A reminder that the Learning Centre is open from 7.30am-5.00pm Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and 7.30am-4.00pm Thursday and Friday. <strong>Homework assistance <\/strong>is available on Monday-Friday from 3.00-4.00pm.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>COMPASS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have not already done so, please download the Compass App to your smartphones to ensure you never miss any important information. All correspondence is sent out via this platform. Please contact Student Reception if you require any assistance with this.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PARENT COMMUNITY GROUP<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our PCG Executive comprises of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mrs Jody Patman- President<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mrs Maria Costello &#8211; Secretary<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mrs Alison Hollier &#8211; Treasurer&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>PCG meetings are held once per term on the third Wednesday of the term.&nbsp; The remaining date for 2025 is as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Term 4 &#8211; Wednesday 29 October<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The final meeting of the year, which will include the Annual General Meeting (AGM), will be held in the Learning Centre (Library) and will commence at 7:00pm. A nomination form has been included in today\u2019s communications for those interested in joining the committee. We encourage you to consider this opportunity to contribute to our vibrant parent community.
