Dear Parents/Carers
Prayer Families 2025
One of the great traditions we have at the College is the Prayer Families initiative. Families volunteer to pray for an individual member of the Year 12 Class leading up to and including the HSC exams. It is a time when it is important for our Year 12 students to know that they are supported by their community, as they complete their schooling and step out into the world.
This prayer can be as simple as keeping the Year 12 student in your thoughts, or as part of some form of prayer ritual your family might undertake, perhaps a simple prayer at meal times or the Rosary. In doing so, you are taking part in our Marist charism of Family Spirit, where all in the community look out for and support one another, especially in their time of need.
If your family is willing to take part in this great Marist Eastwood tradition, kindly fill in this form.
A Prayer Family Envelope will then be given to your son with some prayer cards and the name of your Year 12 student. It would be great to see as many families as possible lending spiritual support to our Year 12 Class of 2025.
Yours sincerely
Mr Colm McCaughan
Religious Education Coordinator
AFL and Rugby 7s
AFL
Congratulations to Junior and Intermediate boys for their outstanding efforts and overall results receiving third place this season. Thank you to Ms Dreon, Mr Malafeij and Ms Stern for coaching the teams.
Rugby 7s
Congratulations to our Intermediate and Senior Rugby 7s team and their coaches for crowning Conference Champions and receiving Gold this season. Thank you coaches Mr Brancatisano and Mr Chasney for guiding the students to victory.
All Schools
All the very best to our students competing this weekend at the NSW All Schools Athletics competition at Sydney Olympic Park. We hope you achieve your personal bests and we look forward to hearing from you and your results.
Jerseys
We thank the students who returned their Term 2/3 representative sport jerseys promptly. This is a reminder that a significant number of representative sports jerseys remain outstanding. The Sports Department will begin to communicate to Term 4 coaches students who have yet returned their jerseys which will determine their participation during the next representative season.
If you are competing in your individual or team sports throughout the break we’d like to hear from you. Please email your highlights to monica.khattar@syd.catholic.edu.au
The Sports Department wishes our students and their family a safe break!
