7-a-side Football
It was the decider for our Senior 7-a-side football team this week against Holy Cross Ryde. If you remember in previous editions of the sports report Eastwood had been beaten in Round 1 (0-1) and then returned victorious in Round 2 (3-0). Deciders are always interesting games and no team could find the back of the net in regulation or extra time so the games went to penalties. Goal Keeper Isaac Samaha crucially saved the 2nd penalty and Eastwood would remain just in front for the remainder of the shootout closing out the decider with a 3-2 victory on penalties. Congratulations to our Senior team who are now Sydney Champions.

Rugby 7s
Unfortunately due to the weather Meadowbank Oval was closed this week – so all Rugby 7’s games have been postponed.
