Dear Year 12 Students,

The Marist College Eastwood Old Boys Committee awarded the inaugural ‘Kevin Torpey Perpetual Scholarship’ in 2021. In 2025, the MCE Old Boys also announced the introduction of a second scholarship, the ‘MCE Old Boys Open Scholarship’.

Both of these scholarships are to the total value of $15,000 each, paid in instalments over three years, presented to two graduating students in Year 12. The scholarships will be paid on a staged basis, being $5,000 in 2027; $5,000 in 2028; and $5,000 in 2029. Payment of instalments will follow progress against criteria to be agreed with the scholarship holder prior to commencing the scholarship.

To qualify for these scholarships, you must be looking to pursue tertiary study. The Kevin Torpey scholarship is exclusively for a student wishing to pursue a degree in engineering. The MCE Old Boys Open Scholarship is open to all students wishing to complete a degree in any area other than engineering.

Your application should be addressed to the Old Boys Association and emailed to the Principal at david.sullivan@syd.catholic.edu.au.

Your application should be no more than two A4 pages and is limited to a maximum length of 750 words.
