Week 6

29 May 2026

Dear Parents/Carers

As we approach the Feast of Saint Marcellin Champagnat on 6 June (we celebrate as a community this year on Friday 5 June), our community pauses to reflect on the enduring legacy of our founder and the spiritual bedrock of our college. Marcellin Champagnat’s vision was simple yet profound:

  • to make Jesus Christ known and loved through education.

Today, his mission remains alive in every classroom at Eastwood. As a Marist school, we do not simply educate the mind; we seek to form the heart, guiding our young men to have strong minds and gentle hearts just as Marcellin envisioned over two centuries ago.

This upcoming feast day is not merely a date on our calendar, but an important celebration of who we are and the values we uphold daily. In a world that often moves at a frantic pace, Saint Marcellin’s call to love our students as a mother loves her children reminds us of the power of presence, listening and unwavering support. Over the coming week, our students will engage in prayer, reflection, and community building events to add to our rich heritage. We invite you to join us in spirit and in prayer, celebrating the strong, supportive Marist community that we continue to build together in Marcellin’s name.
