Reminder – Year 11 – Year 12 2026 HSC Assessment Block

From the Director of Curriculum & NESA Accreditation

24 October 2025

Dear Year 12 2026 Parents/Carers

Year 12 HSC Assessment Information

As our Year 12 2026 students begin their HSC journey in Term 4, they enter a pivotal stage of their secondary education. The commencement of formal HSC assessments marks the beginning of their final year of study, where consistent effort, self-discipline, and academic integrity will be key to success. This period provides an opportunity for students to demonstrate their growing independence and commitment to achieving their personal goals.

The HSC 2026 Assessment Handbook can be accessed via Compass by clicking on Community School Documentation Student Information Assessment Handbooks Year 12 Assessment Handbook 2026. This document outlines the College’s assessment policies and procedures, assessment task grids and weightings, and it is essential that students and parents review it carefully. Understanding these guidelines will assist in ensuring a smooth and transparent assessment process throughout the year.

All Year 12 assessment dates for Term 4 have been added to the Compass calendar to help students plan their time effectively. We strongly encourage students to manage their study schedules around these dates, allowing for balanced preparation across subjects and minimising unnecessary stress during busy assessment periods.

Attached to this communication is the Assessment Task Block Timetable for Week 8, which will run from Wednesday 3 December to Friday 5 December. During this period, students are only required to be on campus for their scheduled assessments. Regular classes will not run during the block, allowing students time to focus on revision and rest between tasks.

Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting your son’s learning as he commences this significant phase of his HSC studies.

Kind regards

Ms Monique Brame
