And on Monday, 13 November, it was time to put theory into delicious practice. Students researched and made a dish at home to bring and share with their classmates. It turns out they are all impressive cooks. After tasting home-baked pretzels, authentic <em>Flammkuchen<\/em>, various biscuits and three different apple strudels, students voted online for their favourite dishes. A big thank you to our special guest judge, Ms Salisbury.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to the following master chefs:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Best savoury dish \u2013 Currywurst (Deanne and Miranda-Chelsea)<\/li>\n<li>Best pastry \u2013 Nutella Berliner (Charlie, David, and Lucas)<\/li>\n<li>Best cake \u2013 K\u00e4sekuchen (Ashmit)<\/li>\n<li>Best strudel \u2013 Equal 1<sup>st<\/sup> place Anne and Boris<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The absolute all-out <em>Gewinner<\/em> were Luisaidh and Sophie for their beautifully decorated <em>Maulwurfkuchen<\/em> (mole cake) with a cute mole sticking its head out of its chocolate molehill.<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mahlzeit!
