7T have recently been learning about different types of maps throughout our unit of study on landscapes and landforms. As a part of this unit, we were given the task of designing a two-dimensional topographic map prior to building our own 3D topographic maps out of cardboard.<\/p>\n

7T student Ben says, \u201cThis activity allowed us to visualise what landforms on topographic maps look like\u201d. Another student, Jacob, says \u201cThis activity really helped me realise how the 2D format of topographic maps translates to 3D features on the ground.\u201d<\/p>\n

Overall 7T has had a blast of a time doing this activity and have learnt a lot about topographic maps and the varying types of landscapes and landforms.<\/p>\n
