Reunions have been few and far between this year, so it was lovely to hear that some of the boys of 1963 met for lunch recently.\u00a0 We were unable to invite them on to the school grounds but really look forward to welcome them, and other Fortians, back to school in the not too distant future.<\/p>\n
The boys of 1963 had a 50 year reunion at school in 2013 and went on to apply for and receive a grant from The Department of Veteran Affairs for a new honour board dedicated to Fortians who served in conflicts after World War 2.\u00a0\u00a0This honour board is displayed in the School Memorial Hall.<\/p>\n
We were fortunate to have this group of Fortians visit us in 2019 when they were celebrating 60 years since they started at Fort Street, when\u00a0 Graham Easton (Vice Captain 1963), who has two grandchildren at Fort Street, gave an entertaining talk at one of our recognition assemblies.<\/p>\n
We look forward to their 60 year reunion in 2023!<\/p>\n
