{"id":1672,"date":"2019-12-05T00:27:42","date_gmt":"2019-12-05T00:27:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/fortstreet\/?post_type=article&#038;p=1672"},"modified":"2019-12-09T01:32:43","modified_gmt":"2019-12-09T01:32:43","slug":"instrumental-music-program-14","status":"publish","type":"article","link":"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/fortstreet\/article\/instrumental-music-program-14\/","title":{"rendered":"Instrumental Music Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif\"><strong>Jazz Orchestra playing Monday 9 December<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif\">Jazz\u00a0Orchestra\u00a0will be performing alongside the Ashfield Little Big Band at a concert on Monday 9 December at Wests Ashfield. \u00a0Doors open at 6pm and the bands start at 6.30pm.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Young Women&#8217;s Jazz Orchestra<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>The Young Women&#8217;s Jazz Orchestra are looking for new band members on the following insrtuments:<\/div>\n<div>Trumpet<\/div>\n<div>Trombone<\/div>\n<div>Tenor sax<\/div>\n<div>Bass (electric or double)<\/div>\n<div>Piano<\/div>\n<div>Guitar<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Ages are 16-22 years old (with a bit of leeway).<\/div>\n<div>The band\u00a0rehearses on Tuesday evenings 6:30-8:30 at UNSW Kensington (main campus) and fees are approx $300 per semester, including 18 rehearsals per semester.\u00a0Entry is by video audition.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Anyone interested should visit <a href=\"http:\/\/ywjo.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">http:\/\/ywjo.com.au\/<\/a> or email <a href=\"mailto:ywjosydney@gmail.com\">ywjosydney@gmail.com<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif\"><strong>Please take your instrument home with you over the holidays<\/strong>. <\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif\">There should be no instruments left in the\u00a0Basement as it will not be climate controlled for\u00a0the 6\u00a0weeks of the holidays.\u00a0 Please make sure you do regular practice over the holidays &#8211; even 10 minutes a day will help keep you in shape.
