
Year 8 French breakfast
On the last Thursday of Term 2, 8F and 8T were invited into the delicious world of French cuisine and got to experience a traditional French breakfast.
Both classes had the opportunity to try a range of authentic French pastries, including croissants, pain au chocolat and fruit tarts, baguettes, cheeses (camembert and gruyere), jams, butters, and chocolate. We also had a giant pot of very rich chocolat chaud (hot chocolate) to help keep everyone warm and to dip our various breads and pastries into if we wanted. This was a great way to get practical experience trying the foods we had been learning about, to practise ordering food in French, to learn more about life in France and a valuable cultural experience.
