National History Challenge Winners
This year the Year 9 Elective History class entered the National History Challenge. The theme for the year was “Causes and Consequences”.
Students were given the opportunity to research the causes and consequences of any event in history. Their presentation could be in the format of an essay, a video, or any other type of display. Lily Vujovic’s documentary on the Flapper movement in the 1920’s was a State Finalist.
Abigail Ouw’s documentary on the Port Arthur Massacre won both the State competition and the National competition. Abigail was rewarded with a trip to Canberra to receive her award with the other National winners. Congratulations to these two very talented historians.
