The University of Wollongong (UOW) is excited to present a new series of school holiday workshops designed to ignite creativity and foster skill development among high school students. Led by UOW academics who are experts in their respective fields, these workshops offer hands-on experiences in creative writing, journalism, and visual arts.
These workshops aim to inspire students in Years 9 and 10 and strengthen their connection with the university community, providing a glimpse into the vibrant academic environment at UOW.
Registration closes Friday 5 September.

Holiday Workshop – The Songwriter’s Toolkit, Sydney

Created for students in Years 9-12, AIM’s new high school music workshops provide incredible opportunities to explore songwriting, mentored by AIM’s own accomplished musicians and educators.
This songwriting workshop is essential for any high school students curious about writing songs and performing and is a golden opportunity to work with incredibly accomplished songwriters. Join us these school holidays and discover the songwriter and performer you were born to become.

RSPCA NSW is hosting an Animal Careers Day this Spring Holidays for high school students (up to 17 years old) who are interested in careers working with animals. This is a fantastic opportunity for interested students to deepen their understanding of different animal careers and explore the different pathways and skills required.

What’s included:

  • Hear from RSPCA industry professionals including: vets, vet nurses, animal carers, animal trainer, inspector and a new addition this year, an animal case worker.
  • Learn about study and training pathways.
  • Try hands-on activities and discover entry-level and volunteer opportunities.
  • Tour our shelter and Vet Clinic
