Book Talk

In the last week of August, the library celebrated Book Week 2025 with a week full of literary games. About 130 students participated in problem solving based around books , solved literary puzzles, went on Library Treasure Hunts and guessed the titles of books that were shredded into bottles. Book Week is part of an eighty-year tradition in Australian schools, a tradition established in 1945 by The Children’s Book Council of Australia to promote reading for pleasure. It was brilliant to see Fort Street High School students getting into the spirit of Book Week- and many won book prizes and walked away smiling. It was a good week!
