Congratulations to Mercedes Matthews who was recently awarded a Gold Medal at the World Skills Hospitality VETIS National Awards in Melbourne! All regional winners from participating industries gathered together nationally in their field to represent their State.<\/p>\n

To be eligible to compete in the National Competition, Mercedes successfully completed a Cert II Hospitality in Year 11, and won the regional Gold Medal title for Hospitality in 2022 in Bunbury representing South Regional TAFE.<\/p>\n

Next year Mercedes may be invited to represent the Nation in an international competition to be held in Lyon, France!<\/p>\n

\nCongratulations to Ezekiel Cooper, who this week is refereeing at the National School Sports Basketball Championships. There were only a small number of WA referees selected, with four from Mandurah Basketball Association (and their local referee coach).<\/p>\n

“Canning MP Andrew Hastie hosted the eighth annual Canning Shakespeare Competition on Saturday 19 August, where the spotlight shone on the exceptional performance of Foundation Christian College student TJ Ruwodo, who clinched first prize.”<\/p>\n
