Faith, Community, and Excellence: End-of-Year Reflections

Dear Families,

As we come to the end of another school year, I want to thank you for the way you have partnered with us throughout the year. Your trust, support, prayer, and encouragement are deeply valued, and we are grateful to walk this journey of education and faith together.

It is a great privilege and blessing for me to serve as Principal of Foundation Christian College. Together, we continue to build a strong College community firmly grounded in authentic Christian education, one where students are known, nurtured, challenged, and encouraged to grow in faith, character, and excellence.

This year has been filled with so many wonderful moments across our College: learning journeys, performances, sporting achievements, leadership development, faith-based experiences, friendships formed, and milestones celebrated. I am incredibly proud of our students and thankful for our dedicated staff who serve faithfully each day. We have much to celebrate, and I’m excited to say that 2026 promises even more opportunities and growth for our community.

As we look ahead, please find linked below:
For your planning, please note the following key dates:
  • School concludes for students: Wednesday 10 December 2025
  • College Office reopens: Thursday 15 January 2026
  • Students commence Term 1: Monday 2 February 2026

The Board and I are currently working through our strategic planning for the College. In the new year we look forward to sharing more exciting information, including future-focused plans for our College, master building developments to support the continued growth of Foundation Christian College.

As you enter the Christmas season, my prayer is that your family enjoys a time of rest, joy, and reflection. May we remember the true gift of Christmas, the birth of Jesus, and the hope, peace, and love He brings. As Scripture reminds us:

“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you.”
— Numbers 6:24–26

On behalf of our staff and Board, I wish you a blessed Christmas and a safe, joyful holiday season. We look forward to welcoming our students and families back in 2026 as we continue this exciting journey together.

Warm regards,
Clinton King
Principal

Our Year 6 Graduates!

Our Year 6 Graduates!

This week, we gathered as a school community to celebrate a significant milestone the Year 6 Graduation Ceremony. It was a night filled with pride, joy, and heartfelt moments as we honoured the achievements of our graduating students and looked forward to the exciting journeys that lie ahead.

The evening began with a warm welcome and reflections on the incredible growth and resilience our Year 6 students have shown throughout their primary years. From classroom learning to sporting achievements, creative projects, and acts of kindness, these students have truly embodied the values of faith, family, and community.

One of the highlights of the ceremony was hearing from the graduates themselves. Their speeches were inspiring, filled with gratitude for their teachers, families, and friends who have supported them along the way. It was a beautiful reminder that education is not just about academics it’s about shaping character and building strong foundations for life.

As diplomas were presented and applause filled the room, we celebrated not only their accomplishments but also the bright futures ahead. We are confident that these young people will continue to shine as they step into high school and beyond.

To our Year 6 graduates: Congratulations! We are so proud of you. May you carry forward the lessons learned, the friendships made, and the values instilled during your time here. Remember, you will always be part of our school family.

“Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” – 2 Peter 3:18

Honouring Achievement: A Look Back at Our Awards Ceremony

Our school community came together to celebrate the incredible achievements of our youngest learners through to our Year 6 students. The Awards Ceremonies were joyful occasions, filled with gratitude and reflection on the blessings of the year gone by.

Each award presented was more than a recognition of academic success, it was a celebration of character, perseverance, and the unique gifts God has placed in every child. From Christian Endeavor to Academic Excellence, these awards remind us that true achievement is not only measured by grades but by the tenacity and heart behind every effort.

Introducing Our 2026 Primary Student Leaders

Introducing Our 2026 Primary Student Leaders

We are delighted to announce the appointment of our new Primary Student Leadership Team for the year ahead. These students have demonstrated exceptional character, commitment, and a heart for serving others—qualities that reflect the values we hold dear as a Christian school.

Our leaders for 2026 are:

  • Head Boy: Benjamin I’Anson
  • Head Girl: Ruby Arthur
  • Deputy Head Boy: Lewis Cronin
  • Deputy Head Girl: Daniella Dap-Og

Leadership is not just about wearing a badge; it is about modeling humility, kindness, and integrity. As Jesus taught in Mark 10:45:
“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

We believe these young leaders will inspire their peers, support their teachers, and contribute to a positive and Christ-centered school environment. Please join us in praying for them as they step into this important role.

Congratulations to Benjamin, Ruby, Lewis, and Daniella—we are excited to see how God will use your gifts to bless our school community this year!

Year 3 Strings Concertino!

Congratulations to our talented Year 3 students on their outstanding performance at the recent Strings Concertino! The concert was a wonderful showcase of the skills and musicality they have developed throughout this year’s Year 3 Strings Program.

As part of their music education at Foundation, every Year 3 student learns to play the violin, viola, or cello. Seeing their progress and confidence on stage was truly inspiring and a testament to their hard work and dedication.

A heartfelt thank you goes to our incredible music teachers and strings specialists — Mrs Martella, Mrs Fitze, and Ms Kotze — for their guidance, encouragement, and passion throughout the year. We also extend our gratitude to all families and friends who attended and supported our young musicians. Your presence made the event even more special!

A Night of Carols: Celebrating Faith, Family, and Community

A Night of Carols: Celebrating Faith, Family, and Community

Our hall was alive with the sound of Christmas carols as families, friends, and neighbors gathered for a night of music and fellowship. The Christmas Carols Evening was more than just an event—it was a celebration of what truly matters: faith, family, and community.

From the opening song to the final chorus, the atmosphere was filled with warmth and joy. Children sang with bright smiles, parents joined in harmonies, and everyone shared in the spirit of the season. It was a beautiful reminder that Christmas is not just about lights and gifts, but about coming together in love and hope.

There were plenty of memorable moments throughout the night, including a surprise visit from the FCC Chickens, which brought laughter and delight to the crowd. It was a fun reminder that joy often comes in unexpected ways!

As we reflect on this special evening, let’s carry its message forward: that our faith binds us, our families strengthen us, and our community uplifts us. Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to making this event unforgettable. May the spirit of Christmas continue to shine in our hearts and homes.

Our community was treated to a series of inspiring performances by our talented music students. After a year of dedication and hard work, students from Voice, Piano, Violin, Classical Guitar, and Cello took to the stage to share their musical achievements.

Each recital highlighted not only technical skill but also creativity and passion, with students presenting a diverse range of musical pieces in various styles. It was a wonderful opportunity to witness the growth and artistry that comes from perseverance and practice.

A heartfelt thank-you goes to our incredible music teachers for their guidance and support, and to everyone who attended and encouraged our performers. Your presence made these recitals truly special.

Tyson King’s Inspiring Act of Kindness: Hair Donation and Fundraising for Kids with Cancer

We are proud to share the incredible generosity of Tyson King. Over the past months, Tyson has been growing out his hair with a special purpose—and just yesterday, he shaved his head so his hair could be transformed into a wig for the Wigs for Kids organisation.

But Tyson didn’t stop there. He is also raising funds to support children battling cancer. So far, he has raised $1,700 toward his goal of $2,000, and every contribution makes a difference.

If you’d like to support Tyson’s mission and help him reach his goal, check out the link to his fundraiser below.
