Outdoor Education
We are very pleased to acknowledge the hard work and success of our Outdoor Ed Staff and Students so far this year. Yr 10 Outdoor Ed students recently went on a three-day camp to the Wellington National Park.
Students kayaked, camped, rode and climbed, and even had to provide and cook their own food! The College received a very positive report about the students’ resilience, hard work and enjoyment upon their return.
The Year 12 Outdoor Education students recently had a 5 week SCUBA course, in which they did a total of 6 ocean dives along with a pool component and a written theory test. All 7 students passed and are now NAUI qualified SCUBA divers. These students also get a point for their WACE as the course is an endorsed program.
FCC is the only school in the Peel region that offer SCUBA diving as a part of the Year 12 ODE course!
