Year 6 Camp: Adventure, Learning and Unforgettable Memories
This year’s Year 6 Camp was packed with excitement, challenge and plenty of unforgettable moments as students enjoyed a week filled with activities that strengthened friendships, encouraged teamwork and created memories to last long after graduation from primary school.
From the moment they arrived, students were immersed in a world of adventure. One of the highlights was the thrilling spy games, and the fun continued with laser tag, where students dashed, ducked and strategised through fast‑paced games that had everyone laughing and cheering.
For those who loved a challenge, the high ropes course provided the perfect opportunity to step outside their comfort zones. Students climbed, balanced and zipped through the course with courage and determination, supported all the way by their classmates.
Camp also offered plenty of opportunities to cool off with water games, which were a huge hit in the afternoons. These sessions were full of energy, splashes and lots of smiles.
A special highlight of the week was the group’s visit to the WA Museum Boola Bardip, where students explored exhibits that connected to their learning and expanded their curiosity about Western Australia’s history, culture and natural environment.
One of the most exciting moments came when students visited Outback Splash and had the entire place to themselves! With no lines and endless opportunities to ride, slide, splash and explore, the day was pure joy from start to finish.
In the evenings, students were encouraged and grounded through a peaceful and thoughtful devotional led by Mrs Tucker. Her message offered students a chance to reflect, connect and wind down after busy days of activity.
Throughout the entire camp, our Year 6 students showed excellent behaviour, enthusiasm and teamwork. Their willingness to participate, encourage one another and embrace new challenges made this year’s camp an incredible success.
A special thank‑you goes to the FCC Team who made the camp possible. Their dedication, support and care ensured a safe and memorable experience for every student.
The Year 6 cohort returned home tired but with wide smiles, a true sign of a fantastic camp and a wonderful way to celebrate their final year of primary school.
