(need pre-Registration)<\/li>\n<li><strong>New Member Meet-Up<\/strong> before the Marts&amp;Lundy Welcome Event<\/li>\n<li><strong>Marts&amp;Lundy Welcome Event<\/strong> at Brisbane City Hall<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Day 1 \u2013 Wednesday<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The Conference officially begins with the <strong>Opening Session &amp; Welcome<\/strong>\u00a0and <strong>Keynote from Milo Wilkinson<\/strong>, followed by breakout Sessions across six streams:<\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li><strong>Admissions<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Alumni &amp; Community Engagement<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Marketing &amp; Communications<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Fundraising<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Leadership<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>People &amp; Culture<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The afternoon concludes with the <strong>Excellence Awards<\/strong>, followed by <strong>Networking Drinks with Exhibitors<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Delegates can then attend their <strong>Chapter Gathering<\/strong> (need pre-Registration) or enjoy a free evening.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 2 \u2013 Thursday<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The day begins with the <strong>Excellence Awards Showcase<\/strong>, and then the <strong>educate+ Innovation <\/strong>Session followed by a <strong>Keynote from Jason Clarke.<\/strong> Regular Sessions across all six streams will then continue.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Throughout the day there will be opportunities to:<\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Meet Sponsors and Exhibitors.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in activities and games.<\/li>\n<li>Spend dedicated time in the Exhibition Hall.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The day concludes with the <strong>iDAT Conference Celebration at Howard Smith Wharves<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 3 \u2013 Friday<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The final day begins with the &#8216;<em>not to be missed&#8217;<\/em> <strong>EDx presentations<\/strong>, featuring five educate+ members delivering TEDx-style presentations developed with the support of Cameron Pegg.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">This is followed by two further breakout Sessions, the final Keynote from <strong>Kath Koschel<\/strong> and a Conference Close, which also reveals the location of the 2028 International Conference!<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">An optional School Tour is also available on Saturday morning.<\/p>\n<div>\n<hr \/>\n<\/div>\n<h5><strong>Optional Conference Activities<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p><strong>Chapter Gatherings \u2013 Wednesday Evening<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\">All Chapters are hosting gatherings at various locations close to the Convention Centre (so buses not required).<\/li>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\">These were extremely popular at the previous Conference and sold out. Due to event space requirements these need to have been booked and paid for prior to attending the Conference.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>School Tours<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Four School Tours are offered:<\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li><strong>Anglican Church Grammar School (Churchie)<\/strong> \u2013 Tuesday<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Women&#8217;s College, University of Queensland<\/strong> \u2013 Tuesday<\/li>\n<li><strong>St Margaret&#8217;s Anglican Girls School<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Tuesday (fully booked)\u00a0<\/li>\n<li><strong>St Laurence&#8217;s College<\/strong> \u2013 Saturday<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Pre-Conference Workshops<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><strong>Dragon&#8217;s Den Advancement Publications &#8211; Make Your Pitch, with Cameron Pegg<\/strong><br \/>\nBring along one of your own Advancement publications, such as an Alumni magazine or Fundraising publication, to examine what makes a great publication.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><strong>Advancement Unlocked: AI in Action, with Ross Imbler and Clive Pedley<\/strong><br \/>\nA practical AI workshop. Bring your laptop and learn by actively using the technology.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><strong>Developing Sustainable Fundraising for Mission Advancement, with Bill Stanczykiewicz<\/strong><br \/>\nExplore how Fundraising strategy connects with the broader institutional strategy, led by an expert from Indiana University&#8217;s Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><strong>The First Step is the Boldest: A Strategic Reboot for your Alumni &amp; Community Engagement Program, with Kirsty Hooper, Belinda van der Monde, Jennie Blake, Chanel Hughes and Russell Davidson<\/strong><br \/>\nFor those establishing, rebuilding or refreshing an Alumni &amp; Community Engagement program. Practitioners will take participants through the key considerations from beginning to end.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><strong>The Human Side of Change, with Rebecca Hopkins<\/strong><br \/>\nExplore the human side of organisational change and change management.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h5><strong><br \/>\nNew Members &amp; First-Time Conference Delegates<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p><strong>New Member Meet-Up |\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Tuesday, 4.30pm\u20135.20pm<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\">New members and those attending their first educate+ Conference are invited to meet at the <strong>Registration Desk<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Members of the educate+ team and Board will be there, and the group will then make its way together to the Welcome Event.<\/li>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\">This provides an opportunity to make connections before the Conference officially begins.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Conference Buddy<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\">A Conference Buddy is also available for new members and first-time Delegates.<\/li>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Conference buddies have now been assigned, however if you feel that you would like a personal introduction to some other Delegates please head to the Registration Desk and ask for Tina, our Member Relations Manager, who will be able to assist you.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<hr \/>\n<\/div>\n<h5><strong>Social Events &amp; Transport<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p><strong>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.educateplus.edu.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/EPIC-Floor-Plan-Bus-Stop-for-EDM.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">educate+ BUS STOP<\/a> is downstairs at the BCEC, accessible via the escalators in the Main Foyer, and then turning right to exit at Glenelg St to find the bus stop signs.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Marts&amp;Lundy Welcome Event \u2013 Tuesday<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The Marts&amp;Lundy Welcome Event will be held at <strong>Brisbane City Hall<\/strong>.\n<ul>\n<li>Buses will depart from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.educateplus.edu.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/EPIC-Floor-Plan-Bus-Stop-for-EDM.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EDUCATE+ BUS STOP<\/a> (at BCEC) from <strong>5.30pm-6.00pm<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Buses will also return Delegates to the Convention Centre afterwards.<\/li>\n<li>Delegates may alternatively walk to City Hall, approximately a 30-minute walk.<\/li>\n<li>Further information will be sent to Delegates to confirm who requires bus transport.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><strong>Dress:<\/strong> Smart business casual.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Chapter Gatherings \u2013 Wednesday<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Chapter Gatherings are being held close to the Convention Centre and are within easy walking distance (RSVP&#8217;s by Wednesday 26 August are essential)<\/li>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><strong>Dress:<\/strong> Smart business casual.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>iDAT Conference Celebration \u2013 Thursday<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The iDAT Conference Celebration will be held at <strong>Felons Barrel Hall, Howard Smith Wharves<\/strong>.\n<ul>\n<li>Celebration commences at <strong>7.00pm<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Buses depart from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.educateplus.edu.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/EPIC-Floor-Plan-Bus-Stop-for-EDM.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EDUCATE+ BUS STOP<\/a> (at BCEC) from <strong>6.00pm-6.30pm<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Allow approximately <strong>20 minutes<\/strong> for the bus journey.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Theme: Queensland Tropicana\n<ul>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><strong>Dress:<\/strong> Delegates are encouraged to embrace the theme and wear their best <strong>Tropicana-inspired outfit<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\">There will also be themed decorations and photo opportunities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Alternative Transport<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Delegates can alternatively travel via Brisbane&#8217;s river transport, with a ferry terminal located close to the Convention Centre. Public transport fares were noted as <strong>50 cents per journey<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<div>\n<hr \/>\n<\/div>\n<h5><strong>Excellence Awards<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The <strong>educate+ Excellence Awards<\/strong> showcase outstanding work across the Advancement profession.<\/li>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\">More than <strong>300 submissions<\/strong> were received in 2026, compared with 221 in 2024, with finalists selected by independent judging panels.<\/li>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\">This year, the Awards will be presented in the plenary room during the final Session on Wednesday afternoon, allowing more Delegates, Partners and Sponsors to attend.<\/li>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Expect an <strong>Oscars-style red carpet event<\/strong>, with special surprises and the winners revealed live during the presentation.<\/li>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Delegates are strongly encouraged to attend, whether travelling individually or as a team.<\/li>\n<li>Thank you to <strong>Global Philanthropic<\/strong>, who are Sponsors of the educate+ Excellence Awards<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>Excellence Awards Posters<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\">All finalists have created posters showcasing their projects. These will be displayed throughout the Exhibition Hall.<\/li>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\">On Thursday morning, Award winners will be available to chat at their poster boards with supporting material and information about their projects.<\/li>\n<li class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Delegates are encouraged to speak with winners and learn more about their work, creating an additional opportunity for peer-to-peer learning.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<hr \/>\n<\/div>\n<h5><strong>Conference App<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p><strong>Do I Need to Download the Conference App?\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Yes!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Conference App is such an integral part of the success of your overall Conference experience!
