On Friday November 4th, over 60 Educate Plus members and supporters gathered at the QT Hotel in the city for a day of professional development and networking. These events are the perfect opportunity for members and non-members in the world of Advancement to catch up on what\u2019s happening at other schools and in the industry generally.<\/p>\n
The day\u2019s speakers covered a wide variety of topics including How to build your alumni<\/strong>, Managing international marketing and enrolments<\/strong>, Admissions – the customer experience<\/strong>, Fundraising \u2013 the need for change<\/strong>, and Marketing strategies in schools<\/strong>. The day concluded with a very entertaining presentation from Mick Colliss<\/strong><\/a>,<\/strong> an author, poet and writer at Cooch Creative. It was a wonderful way to end a very productive day and we’d like to extend our thanks to all of the wonderful presenters:<\/p>\n Bianca Coleborn<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0(Concordia Lutheran College),\u00a0Andrew Sculthorpe<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>(Imageseven),\u00a0Heiko Plange-Korndoerfer CFRE, FFIA, FAIM<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>Plange-Korndoerfer (Perth Zoo),\u00a0Georgia Allen<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>(Iona Presentation College),\u00a0Derryn Belford<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(StudyPerth) and our own Committee Member\u00a0Clare Underdown<\/a><\/strong> (WA Chapter Committee Member).<\/p>\n Although good presentations are what attracts registrations, it is the catching up and knowledge exchange during the day that often reaps the greatest rewards.
