And also, I am proud of creating a new set of creative materials based on the newly defined strategic positioning (Adventurous Education) which was authentically uncovered in the strategic planning for the School. The positioning is so true to the School\u2019s fabric that its now also become the Brand Essence which will live on beyond the current strategic plan.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>What is your greatest moment of learning? \u202f\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">I don\u2019t think I have a greatest moment of learning. I am a firm believer in continuous learning and when I do make time to immerse myself in learning or professional development, I am always reminded that we can learn and improve, even in the areas we believe we are experts in.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>What is the most impactful book you have read, or podcast you have listened to&gt;\u202f\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The most impactful book for me is <em>The Laws of Simplicity<\/em> by John Maeda. A very close second is <em>Good to Great<\/em> by Jim Collins.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>What are three tips or words of advice that you would give to new members or those who are new to Advancement?\u202f\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The three tips I would give are:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Schools are uniquely complex environments<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Success lies in collaboration and making time to pause, reflect and revisit strategy<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">And most importantly, take the time to celebrate success. <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What are three things you enjoy doing in your spare time\u202f?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Riding motorcycles<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Spending time with family<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Going for hikes.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Thank you David &#8211; it&#8217;s been wonderful getting to know you!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Each eNews, we introduce you to some of our wonderful Chapter Members, through a question-and-answer type interview article.
