Fundraising Consultant, Buchanan &amp; Associates Consulting, hosted and facilitated a session and panel discussion on Turning Volunteers into Champions.<\/p>\n<p>Jeff\u2019s session was followed by a panel discussion with guests Phil Hancock, Strategic Facilities Management, Services Director, John Holland Jo Nitz Director of Advancement, (Business, Economics and Law Faculty), The University of Queensland and Tamlyn Lambert, President, Mothers Committee, Anglican Church Grammar School.<\/p>\n<p>The session was informative and lively with many thanks going to Jeff Buchanan and his panel of experts, Phil Hancock, Jo Nitz and Tamlyn Lambert for their pearls of wisdom and sharing of their expertise.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-758 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/educateplus-qld\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2021\/08\/163244451_118726646839069_7693405664647258575_n-e1629781572559.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"265\" srcset=\"https:\/\/d1dfwahqlx324v.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2021\/08\/163244451_118726646839069_7693405664647258575_n-e1629781572559.jpg 1167w, https:\/\/d1dfwahqlx324v.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2021\/08\/163244451_118726646839069_7693405664647258575_n-e1629781572559-768x339.jpg 768w, https:\/\/d1dfwahqlx324v.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2021\/08\/163244451_118726646839069_7693405664647258575_n-e1629781572559-340x150.jpg 340w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/> MACKAY REGION PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SESSION <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The first regional advancement professional development session for 2022sessions was held in Mackay on Monday 22 March.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The team welcomed attendees from every independent and Catholic school in Mackay and the day was a great success.<\/p>\n<p>Presentations included Community Engagement as part of your Marketing Strategy &#8211; Claire Henkey, Director of Community Engagement, John Paul College, The Admissions Office: Chaos or Calm &#8211; Suzie Hancock, Education Consultant and Alumni Engagement Tips &#8211; Sue Russell, Alumni Officer, St Aidan\u2019s Anglican Girls\u2019 School.<\/p>\n<p>The sessions were followed by an open discussion on current challenges facing advancement staff, with all in attendance sharing generously and showing support to peers in the industry.<\/p>\n<p>Feedback saw participants asking for more regional sessions \u2013 the team will definitely be back in the future.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-760 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/educateplus-qld\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2021\/08\/UikP4EdA-e1629781702179.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"276\" srcset=\"https:\/\/d1dfwahqlx324v.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2021\/08\/UikP4EdA-e1629781702179.jpeg 967w, https:\/\/d1dfwahqlx324v.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2021\/08\/UikP4EdA-e1629781702179-768x353.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/d1dfwahqlx324v.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2021\/08\/UikP4EdA-e1629781702179-326x150.jpeg 326w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/>TOOWOOMBA REGION PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SESSION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Many thanks must go to Tracey Flint Executive Officer at the Diocese of Toowoomba Catholic Schools Office\u00a0for hosting this regional Professional Development Day in the Micah Centre in the heart of Toowoomba.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This event was held on Friday 29 May and we welcomed representatives from nine schools and the sessions saw Chapter Committee Members present in their areas of expertise.<\/p>\n<p>The Admissions Office: Chaos or Calm session received great feedback about the chance to reflect on work practices and think about improvements whilst away from the desk.<\/p>\n<p>The Going for Bold Campaign and the Guerilla Engagement Grounded in Science sessions were also praised as being relevant, timely and very informative.<\/p>\n<p>Further feedback from our regional colleagues included: \u201cThank you for the opportunity to chat to other school professionals and share experiences.\u201d\u00a0 and \u201cThank you for running the session in our regional area &#8211;
