President’s Message

As we begin the final semester of the year, I hope you will remain steadfast in focus and achieve the goals you have set. Don’t underestimate the incredible part you play in your institutions moving them forward for the common good of each and every student.

Thank you to the members who have invested in themselves and put the time aside to attend a special interest group SIG or PD day this year. I hope you have found these beneficial both for yourself and your institution.

See you at the conference!

Professional Development TOPIC: Innovation in Education – Developing Your Innovative Mindset- Tony Curl coachcurl.com

This session will explore some of the innovative concepts appearing around the world. There are two types of innovation Radical and Incremental. Radical innovation is a major step change, think Motorola Flip Phone to IPhone and for those just a bit older the move from Atari to Nintendo.

Radical innovation changes an industry while incremental innovation enhances an industry. Incremental is smaller but no less valuable, small steps towards better outcomes, better processes and better people. Radical innovation is rare, incremental can happen daily.

Developing an Innovative Mindset is critical to delivering the best outcomes in your career, business and life and we will provide the tips to make it happen.

Key Points

  • Radical innovation case studies.
  • The impact of incremental innovation.
  • Building an innovative mindset.
  • The role trust plays.

The Outcome

  • Create a mind-shift map to build an innovative mindset.
