Message from the QLD President

Welcome to 2021 and to our first newsletter for the year.

I hope everyone enjoyed a well-deserved break over the Christmas period – I must admit it feels like a lifetime ago!

I am sure that many of you, like me, are ramping up for a busy 2021. At St Aidan’s we have made the decision to double up all our reunions for 2021 to include the girls who missed out on reunions in 2020 due to the dreaded Covid-19. Certainly, busy but exciting times ahead.

Hopefully many of you can join us for the upcoming Professional Development sessions on volunteers and our regular special interest group (SIG) events – see more details later in the newsletter.

This month, we are looking forward to hosting a session in Mackay on Monday 22 March – so we look forward to welcoming those in Mackay and close by can to this special regional PD event.

The International Conference is going ahead from September 6 to 9 in Adelaide, with registration pages now live! More information here!

Remember that early bird registrations close on Friday 30 April. We have a Queensland Chapter Dinner planned for Tuesday evening 7 September which will allow everyone from our wonderful State to get together.

Thank you to our sponsors for their continued support of our chapter.

Your State Committee and the National Board continue to work hard to ensure that you, our members, enjoy quality experiences to support you in the development of your profession. Please reach out to me if there’s anything further that we can do to add value to your membership.

I look forward to connecting with you personally at future events.

Sue Russell
QLD Chapter President
