{"id":1911,"date":"2026-06-02T11:40:57","date_gmt":"2026-06-02T01:40:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/educateplus-nz\/?post_type=article&#038;p=1911"},"modified":"2026-06-02T11:41:17","modified_gmt":"2026-06-02T01:41:17","slug":"meet-our-newest-nz-chapter-committee-members","status":"publish","type":"article","link":"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/educateplus-nz\/article\/meet-our-newest-nz-chapter-committee-members\/","title":{"rendered":"Meet Our Newest NZ Chapter Committee Members"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Welcome to the NZ Chapter Committee&#8230;<\/span><\/h5>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">We are delighted to welcome two new members to the educate+ New Zealand Chapter Committee, with Amanda Booth from Auckland Grammar School and Andrew Delves from Kristin School joining the team.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1923\" src=\"https:\/\/d1dfwahqlx324v.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/sites\/26\/2026\/06\/BOOTH-Amanda-200x200-BW.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/d1dfwahqlx324v.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/sites\/26\/2026\/06\/BOOTH-Amanda-200x200-BW.jpg 200w, https:\/\/d1dfwahqlx324v.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/sites\/26\/2026\/06\/BOOTH-Amanda-200x200-BW-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Amanda\u00a0Booth<br \/>\n<\/span><\/b>Communications and Development Office Manager<br \/>\nAuckland Grammar School\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Amanda is the Communications and Development Office Manager at Auckland Grammar School, where she has worked for the past 10 years across Communications, Events, Digital Platforms, Alumni Engagement, and Social Media.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">A keen photographer and storyteller, Amanda is often found capturing school life from the sidelines while also leading the\u00a0School\u2019s Media Group and\u00a0the\u00a0Headmaster\u2019s Heritage Committee, helping preserve and celebrate the rich history of the\u00a0School\u00a0community.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Amanda says one of the things she is most looking forward to about joining the NZ Chapter Committee is building stronger connections with other Marketing &amp; Communications professionals across the education sector.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cHaving been in the education sector for over a decade now, this has really been the first time that I have felt connected with other like-minded people working towards a greater cause,\u201d she says.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Amanda is passionate about sharing ideas and supporting others, particularly around Marketing, Fundraising, Events, and emerging systems and platforms within schools.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">While she admits she sometimes experiences a touch of \u201cimposter syndrome\u201d, Amanda says being involved with <strong>educate+<\/strong> has helped reinforce the value and importance of Advancement work across New Zealand schools.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cThe <strong>educate+<\/strong> conference last year in Wellington was really fascinating. Being able to step out of my comfort zone and meet some really lovely people has really solidified that the work we do is so important and really valued.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Outside of work, Amanda enjoys reading crime thrillers, spending time with friends and family, and helping bring major school events to life. Among her favourites are\u00a0the annual\u00a0Leavers\u2019 Dinner, the Augusta Awards celebrating distinguished Old Boys, and the\u00a0School\u2019s\u00a0annual Gala Dinner, which transforms the Great Hall into a black-tie fundraising event for 400 guests.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1924\" src=\"https:\/\/d1dfwahqlx324v.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/sites\/26\/2026\/06\/DELVES-Andrew-200x200-BW.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/d1dfwahqlx324v.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/sites\/26\/2026\/06\/DELVES-Andrew-200x200-BW.jpg 200w, https:\/\/d1dfwahqlx324v.cloudfront.net\/uploads\/sites\/26\/2026\/06\/DELVES-Andrew-200x200-BW-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Andrew Delves\u00a0<br \/>\n<\/span><\/b>Communications Lead<br \/>\nKristin School\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Andrew is the Communications Lead at Kristin School and a proud Kristin alumnus, leading Communications, Publications, and a range of school-wide projects.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Before moving into the education sector, Andrew spent nearly a decade with the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron, leading PR and Communications through major international events, including three America\u2019s Cup campaigns.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Andrew first connected with <strong>educate+<\/strong> during the 2023 NZ Conference in Christchurch and has been an enthusiastic member ever since.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cI am really excited to be a part of the team,\u201d Andrew says. \u201cI am looking forward to helping shape how the Committee communicates with our members and potential members, as well as the events and opportunities we can create for them.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Andrew is passionate about growing awareness of <strong>educate+<\/strong> and encouraging more New Zealand schools and organisations to become involved.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cThe more organisations we can get involved with <strong>educate+<\/strong>, the stronger the networking opportunities become and the greater the positive impact on the Advancement space as a whole.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">For Andrew, one of the greatest benefits of <strong>educate+<\/strong> has been the connections made through conferences and networking opportunities.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cThe range of sessions and speakers is incredible, but the networking opportunities and chats with other Advancement professionals are absolute gold.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Outside of work, Andrew\u2019s three young children keep him busy, although he\u00a0jokes\u00a0he sometimes comes to work for a break.
