Meet Some of Our Committee Members

Naomi Wilde

Naomi is Alumni and Development Manager at Lincoln University and works with a team of three committed and talented colleagues. She regards it as a privilege to be able to facilitate and enhance the relationship between an individual and their institution.

Naomi arrived at Lincoln from St Andrew’s College (StAC) where she was Development Officer from 2013-2016. At StAC her focus was on Annual Giving and Major Gifts. She was heavily involved in their fundraising campaign Step Into Our Future.

Prior to St Andrew’s Naomi was Development Director at College House from 2006-2012 and established an Alumni and Development Office for the College, including a full programme of alumni events and communications, annual giving, bequests and major gifts.

Naomi attended her first Educate Plus conference a few weeks after she began as Development Director for College House. She completed the ‘Discover Development’ course and has been grateful for the professional development and networking ever since.

‘Educate Plus’ is an incredibly supportive and generous professional network. There have been so many times when I have been grateful for the knowledge I’ve gained or the networks I’ve made.
It makes a huge difference to be a part of a professional association like Educate Plus especially when, often in our roles, we can feel isolated’.

Naomi has also held previous roles in tertiary education in the wider advancement area including

  • Marketing and Communications Officer for Ara
  • Marketing and Recruitment Officer for the University of Exeter (UK)
  • And Liaison Events Manager for the University of Canterbury.

Outside of work Naomi is studying part time for her PhD. She is on the Board of Bishop Julius Hall, University of Canterbury, serves on Educate Plus NZ Committee and was recently made a Fellow of Educate Plus. Naomi is a keen sailor and loves the outdoors.

Martine Foster

I am an ardent supporter of Samuel Marsden Collegiate School  as an Old Girl and as a past parent. It is a privilege and pleasure  to be back working at Marsden as the Director of Development. I am part of a small team working in enrolment, digital media, marketing and Communications, alumni, fund raising and archives.

While I have been at Marsden for many years now  my recent background as been supporting grant makers through Philanthropy New Zealand. I know the importance and true value of a philanthropic culture and its capacity to change and transform lives. I am committed to ensuring such a culture underpins all we do at Marsden.

We are delighted that Educate Plus is holding the Chapter Conference at Marsden on 24-25 August. We are looking forward to showing delegates around our school and in particular our new award winning Te Manawa o te Kura.- The Heart of the School. Welcome to you all.
