We used this quote to remind ourself that as Communication professionals &#8211; we need to be mindful of the different ways we\u00a0communicate\u00a0with our internal audiences.<\/p>\n<p>We considered how\u00a0parents, students, staff and ex-students interact with potential customers and prospects every day, and the importance of these stakeholders communicating the same marketing messages that schools build into external promotional campaigns.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>After reviewing different types of engagement strategies, we investigated different LMS platforms that schools use in communicating with parents and the challenges and successes that come from these systems.<\/p>\n<p>The afternoon allowed us to ask questions and share ideas while networking with our peers and we all came away with clearer ways of executing our communication strategies in our different organisations.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.educateplus.edu.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Yvette-Graniero.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-3818\" src=\"http:\/\/www.educateplus.edu.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Yvette-Graniero-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Yvette Graniero\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Yvette Graniero<br \/>\nDirector of Community Relations,\u00a0Santa Sabina College<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>George Bernard Shaw once famously said&#8230; The single biggest problem with communication is the illusion it has taken place.\u00a0 This quote framed our lively and\u00a0informative\u00a0discussion on Thursday 17 May, when a group of Marketing and Communications professionals came together at Santa Sabina College to explore the importance of internal communications for building positive stakeholder engagement.
