President’s Message

President’s Message

What a great start to the year we have had. Already some real highlights and much more to come. Here is a summary.

Firstly, the Professional Development afternoon at St Andrew’s College. We had a great roll up with over 60 attendees who listened to our fascinating key note speaker Aleks Duric, Director of Major Gifts at Sydney University. The breakout sessions were also very well received and then the networking drinks were a great way to finish. It is events such as this that really bring us together and we are very grateful for the support of Fiona McQueen and St Andrew’s College for their very generous hospitality.

The other unbelievable highlight this year is our membership. The organisation is now at record levels and NSW/ACT has increased to a new high (almost 100 members up from 2014). A big welcome to all our new members and we hope to see you at events during the year.

Now, a hint of what is coming. We will be holding Special Interest Group (SIG) meetings very soon and there is more information in this newsletter. The SIG meetings are totally free for our members. They are generally an informal gathering of like minds and a sharing of ideas. I really encourage you to attend if you can.

Last, but not least, please make sure you save the date for our Chapter Conference, 5th and 6th August at Loreto Normanhurst. The conference committee is doing a fantastic job and have two wonderful key note speakers lined up and most of the breakout sessions are filled. It is looking great.

Kind regards

Bruce
