{"id":23520,"date":"2026-09-11T14:20:27","date_gmt":"2026-09-11T04:20:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/domremy\/?post_type=article&#038;p=23520"},"modified":"2026-09-11T14:20:27","modified_gmt":"2026-09-11T04:20:27","slug":"year-12-university-applications-early-entry-important-information","status":"publish","type":"article","link":"https:\/\/www.thebuzz.net.au\/domremy\/article\/year-12-university-applications-early-entry-important-information\/","title":{"rendered":"Year 12 University Applications &amp; Early Entry \u2013 Important Information"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As we move closer to the end of Year 12, students and families are reminded to keep on top of university applications, early entry offers and important UAC deadlines.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to students who are beginning to receive early entry offers from universities such as <b>Macquarie University, the University of Notre Dame and other institutions<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>Students who receive an early offer are strongly encouraged to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li><b>Read the offer carefully<\/b> and check whether it is conditional or unconditional.<\/li>\n<li><b>Accept the offer by the university&#8217;s stated deadline<\/b>, even if the course is not currently your first preference. An accepted early offer can provide an excellent back-up option while you wait for other offers.<\/li>\n<li><b>Check any conditions attached to the offer<\/b>, such as successfully completing Year 12 or meeting other course requirements.<\/li>\n<li><b>Keep your UAC application active.<\/b> Accepting an early offer does not mean you should cancel your UAC application.<\/li>\n<li><b>Continue to review your UAC preferences.<\/b> Students can still be considered for other courses and universities in subsequent offer rounds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>IMPORTANT: If you later receive an offer for a course you prefer, you can accept the new offer and then withdraw from the earlier course.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Continue working towards your best possible HSC and ATAR.<\/b> An early offer is wonderful security, but a strong ATAR may provide students with additional university and course choices later in the year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>REMEMBER:<\/b>\u00a0 <b>Accept your early offer, secure your place and keep your options open.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>\u00a0A REMINDER ABOUT IMPORTANT UAC DATES\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Friday 11 September \u2013 SRS Applications Close<\/b><b><br \/>\n<\/b>Schools Recommendation Scheme (SRS) applications close at 11.59pm. Students must first have completed a UAC undergraduate application to apply for SRS. Ms Lynch, Mrs Carbone and I have been working to rate the applications. There are still a number of students who have not yet finalised their applications. With the SRS application deadline fast approaching, students are strongly encouraged to complete and submit their application as soon as possible to ensure they do not miss this important opportunity.<\/p>\n<p><b>Wednesday 30 September \u2013 UAC Early Bird Deadline<\/b><b><br \/>\n<\/b>Students should complete and pay for their UAC undergraduate application by <b>11.59pm<\/b> to avoid the higher application processing charge.<\/p>\n<p><b>Thursday 5 November \u2013 SRS Preference Deadline<\/b><b><br \/>\n<\/b>Students applying through SRS must ensure their <b>SRS-eligible courses are correctly included in their UAC preferences by 11.59pm<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><b>Thursday 12 November \u2013 SRS Offers Released<\/b><b><br \/>\n<\/b>Conditional and unconditional SRS offers are released to eligible domestic Year 12 students.<\/p>\n<p><b>Thursday 19 November \u2013 EAS Deadline for the Main December Offer Round<\/b><b><br \/>\n<\/b>Students seeking consideration through the Educational Access Scheme (EAS) should ensure their application and supporting documentation are completed by this date for consideration in the main December offer round.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Ms Diana Arida and Ms Jade Lynch,\u00a0Careers Pathways and Partnerships Advisors<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As we move closer to the end of Year 12, students and families are reminded to keep on top of university applications, early entry offers and important UAC deadlines.
