Together, let&#8217;s make Term 3 exceptionally extraordinary!<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><b>Religious Life and Mission\u00a0<\/b><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mrs Morizzi and the Faith and Mission team outlined our social justice focus for the term. Students were encouraged to get involved in the Winter Appeal, Sandwich Making, and supporting the Charitable Works Fund (CWF), which aids vital agencies across the Archdiocese of Sydney.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><b>Celebrating Literature and Creativity<\/b><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Isabella (Year 12) introduced our upcoming <\/span><b>Book Week<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> celebrations (22\u201328 August), centred around the theme <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8220;A Symphony of Stories.&#8221;<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Highlights to look forward to include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Author Visits:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Stage 4 and 5 students will hear from acclaimed authors Sue Whiting and Allison Tait.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Dress-Up Day &amp; Fundraiser:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> On Wednesday, August 26, students can come dressed as a favourite book character for a gold coin donation to support CWF.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Competitions:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Students are invited to submit creative writing, artwork, or enter the Origami Club Cancer Council fundraiser in the Maker Space.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><b>Inquiry and Enterprise Update &#8211;\u00a0 Real-World Impact<\/b><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tahlia and Georgia (Year 12) presented updates on our bustling Inquiry and Enterprise programs, celebrating our students&#8217; analytical and problem-solving talents:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Enterprise &amp; Problem Solving:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Year 10 Commerce students are preparing business pitches for a &#8220;Shark Tank&#8221; style event in partnership with Macquarie University, while Global Connections classes recently engaged in a Model UN simulation tackling microplastics.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Academic Excellence:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Special congratulations were extended to our Da Vinci Decathlon participants and our Senior Ethics Olympiad team, who earned an Honourable Mention competing against top regional schools.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>STEM Initiatives:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> From the Scripting Society&#8217;s ocean video game challenge and the &#8220;Seeds of Science&#8221; week activities to a real-world design partnership with Gamuda for the Five Dock Metro arcade, our students continue to push boundaries.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The assembly concluded with an inspiring video showcasing our Year 12 cohort\u2019s sporting achievements, followed by the school song.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A gentle reminder to all students\u2014especially Year 11 and 12 students preparing for upcoming exams\u2014that the <\/span><b>Study Hub<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> is open daily after school, offering tutor support and extended hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Let&#8217;s make Term 3 a term of growth, community, and excellence!<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><b>Going Above and Beyond: Year 12 Holiday Workshops in Action<\/b><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">While the school grounds are usually quiet during the break, our classrooms have been buzzing with energy, purpose, and collaboration.
