Together our light shines brighter\u2026 Will you light your lantern?\"\"<\/a><\/strong><\/h5>\n

There is a unique and beautiful energy that fills a school hall when an entire community gathers to celebrate the diverse gifts of its students. Our recent Assembly, held on Thursday, 11 June, was a magnificent testament to the spirit, talent, and deep faith that define our girls here at Domremy. From the very opening moments, it was clear that this assembly would be a powerful reflection of who we are and what we stand for. Our 2026 College theme \u2018Together our light shines brighter\u2026 Will you light your lantern?\u2019<\/em> was most certainly embraced out our assembly as we recognised a large number of students’ unique gifts and talents. <\/span><\/p>\n

We began our formalities by grounding ourselves in respect and tradition. Mrs Cashin led us in a beautiful Acknowledgement of Country, reminding us of our shared responsibility to walk in reconciliation with the Wangal people of the Eora Nation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Following this, our Faith and Mission Prefect, Sandra, and Presentation Prefects, Marina and Olivia, led us in a deeply moving prayer. Olivia beautifully acknowledged the Presentation Sisters, our founders, whose legacy of compassion, justice, and service continues to light our path. Praying together for reconciliation, our voices united as one community, asking that this <\/span>Great South Land<\/span><\/i> be fully aflame with God\u2019s unifying love. The spiritual tone of the morning was further elevated as Mr. Magson took to the piano, leading the entire assembly in a stirring rendition of the National Anthem.<\/span><\/p>\n

“All In” for Reconciliation Week<\/b><\/h5>\n

\"\"<\/a>A significant highlight of our gathering was a presentation by Charlotte and Mrs. Cashin, our Aboriginal Student Liaison Officer, reflecting on National Reconciliation Week. They reminded us of the profound significance behind the dates of May 27 and June 3, encouraging us all to embrace the 2026 theme: <\/span>All In<\/em>. <\/strong><\/em><\/span>Mrs. Cashin reminded the girls that reconciliation is not a spectator sport; it requires continuous, everyday action, understanding, and shared responsibility from every single one of us.<\/span><\/p>\n

Celebrating Student Achievement: Duke of Edinburgh\u00a0<\/b><\/h5>\n

Miss Peros took to the stage to celebrate our thriving Duke of Edinburgh International Award program, which currently boasts over 50 participants. \"\"<\/a> We particularly commend Lily and Daisy (Year 11) as they pursue their prestigious Gold Award. Congratulations to our Bronze Award recipients: Sarah, Areti, Arabella, Aoife, Isabelle, and Tayla.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Performing Arts\u00a0<\/b><\/h5>\n

\"\"<\/a>Our Creative Arts department shone brightly as Mrs. Zappulla presented the Artist Evolution Badges alongside a vast array of Music awards. Seeing the sheer volume of students involved in our Choir, Chamber Choir, Concert Band, String Ensembles, and vibrant Rock Bands was a wonderful reminder of how music continues to enrich our College.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sport<\/b><\/h5>\n

The energy shifted to absolute excitement as Ms. Angilletta and our Sports Prefect, Tiana Nader, took the stage to share recent sporting news and officially launch our upcoming Athletics Carnival. The competitive and community spirit is already building!<\/span><\/p>\n

We were then treated to a spectacular cultural performance by our Tongan Dance Crew. The grace, rhythm, and pride displayed by the girls captivated the audience and illustrated the rich cultural tapestry that makes Domremy so vibrant. <\/span>All students are to be commended for their engagement, support of one another, and joyful participation which made this assembly an occasion to remember.<\/span><\/p>\n
