A Prayer of Thanks for Freedom<\/i><\/b><\/h4>\n

Heavenly Father,\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

thank You for the precious gift of freedom,\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

the freedom to worship, to speak,\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

and to live according to our conscience.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

On this Remembrance Day,\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

we remember with deep gratitude the brave men and women\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

who gave their lives so that we might enjoy these liberties.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Their sacrifice reflects the love of Christ,\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

who laid down His life so that we might be eternally free.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Help us use our freedom wisely, to serve others,\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

to seek justice, and to reflect Your light in a world longing for peace.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Comfort the families who have lost loved ones in service,\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

and remind them that their sacrifice was not in vain.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

May we live each day with thankfulness and courage,\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

honoring both their memory and Your grace.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Dear Parents, Carers, Students and Staff,<\/i><\/b><\/h5>\n

As we draw nearer to the conclusion of another wonderful year at Domremy College, I want to take a moment to reflect on the many achievements, milestones and moments of joy we have shared as a community. From academic success and student leadership, to acts of faith, service and compassion, this term has reminded us of the strength of our Presentation values and the spirit that makes Domremy so special.<\/span><\/p>\n

HSC Finished!<\/i><\/b><\/h5>\n

Celebrating the achievements of our Graduating Class.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Today, we proudly celebrate our Year 12 students,<\/span> the Class of 2025<\/i><\/b>, who have now completed their HSC exams. This milestone marks the culmination of years of hard work, perseverance and commitment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Throughout this year, our students have shown remarkable determination and resilience, facing challenges with grace and an unwavering focus on their goals. Their dedication to their studies, their support for one another and their enthusiasm for learning have truly embodied the spirit of Domremy College. We are immensely proud of each and every one of them.<\/span><\/p>\n

As they await their results, we extend our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for the next chapter of their journey. No matter what pathways they choose, the knowledge, skills, and character they have developed here will serve them well.<\/span><\/p>\n

Congratulations, Class of 2025! We look forward to recognising your journey at the Graduation Formal next Thursday evening and celebrating your achievements at the HSC Morning Tea on Thursday 18 December at 10.30am.<\/span><\/p>\n

Remembrance Day <\/i><\/b>\"\"<\/a><\/b><\/h5>\n

Honouring those who served and sacrificed.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

On <\/span>Tuesday 11 November<\/b>, our College community will pause to commemorate <\/span>Remembrance Day<\/b>,\u00a0 a solemn occasion to honour the men and women who have served and those who continue to serve, in times of war and peacekeeping.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Our students and staff will gather in prayer and reflection, remembering the courage and sacrifice of all who gave their lives for the freedoms we enjoy today. The respectful silence we observe as a community is a powerful reminder of the importance of peace, gratitude and compassion, values that sit at the heart of our Presentation tradition.<\/span><\/p>\n

As we remember their sacrifice, may we also be inspired to live lives marked by service, hope and a commitment to making our world a better place.<\/span><\/p>\n

Year 12, 2026 Student Leadership Team<\/i><\/b><\/h5>\n

Leading with faith, courage, and heart.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

I would like to acknowledge the outstanding leadership already shown by our <\/span>Year 12, 2026 Student Leadership Team<\/b>. In just a few weeks, they have stepped confidently into their roles, demonstrating initiative, collaboration and genuine care for our community.<\/span><\/p>\n

A particular highlight of their leadership so far was their organisation of <\/span>Pink Week<\/b>, raising awareness and funds for the <\/span>National Breast Cancer Foundation<\/b>. Their dedication and creativity were evident in every aspect, from planning to execution and their ability to engage the wider school community made the week a tremendous success. Together, through their efforts and the generosity of our community, they raised an amazing <\/span>$11,657<\/b> for this important cause.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Next week, the Year 12 cohort will participate in a <\/span>leadership retreat<\/b>, which will provide a valuable opportunity for reflection, growth and shared vision. I am certain they will return further inspired and united, ready to continue to lead with integrity, empathy and purpose in the Presentation tradition of Nano Nagle.<\/span><\/p>\n

As these students continue to guide our community in their final year, I am confident they will make a lasting impact and model what it truly means to lead with faith, courage and heart.<\/span><\/p>\n

Principal Leave – Cardinal Pell Leadership Program<\/strong><\/em><\/h5>\n

I would like to inform you that I will be travelling overseas from Monday 17 November returning to the College on Tuesday 9 December.\u00a0 I have been given the wonderful opportunity to lead The Cardinal Pell Leadership Program to Rome and London. This Program provides Year 11 Catholic school student leaders with a three-week immersion in Rome and London, focussing on the Catholic tradition and the history of Western civilisation.\u00a0<\/p>\n

During my absence, I am pleased to advise that Mr Ray Wooby will be acting as Principal.\u00a0 Mr Wooby brings a wealth of experience in educational leadership.\u00a0 I have complete confidence that under his guidance and with the support of our College Leadership Team and staff, the College will continue to operate seamlessly and uphold the high standards of care and learning expected.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

A Note on Upcoming Events<\/i><\/b><\/h5>\n

Finishing strong as we head toward the end of 2025.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

As we approach the end of the school year, please remember that many Term 4 activities<\/span>,<\/b> including Camps and Activities Week, require timely submission of permission forms and information. This is essential so we can finalise details with camp operators. Please check Compass for updates and return all required documentation as soon as possible.<\/span><\/p>\n

All our Years 7, 8, 9 and 10 students have now completed their exams and we congratulate them on their dedication and focus.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

While it\u2019s tempting to relax as exams wrap up, I encourage all students to stay engaged right through to the end of term. This is a time to consolidate learning, strengthen friendships and finish the year with pride and purpose.<\/span><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s make these last weeks of <\/span>2025<\/b> count which means giving our best in everything we do and to finish strong, together.<\/span><\/p>\n
